"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning."
We are beyond thankful for these amazing boys. Praise Hod he made them for a purpose and is has made us into a family!
Josiah has an eye infection and went to the hospital on the third, and is on antibiotics. His eyelid is red and swollen, so pray that heals! But both boys are happy and healthy. That is a huge answer to prayer!
Pray the boys attach to us quickly. I feel God is doing miracles here already!! Pray for our kids at home and praise the Lord who goes before us and prepared the way. Pray for all the paperwork to go smoothly!! Thank you all for your support!
Josiah screamed so hard tonight at bed I thought he was going to be sick. It went on and on!! Poor little man. Judah went right to sleep in his crib and is the happiest kid ever. He loves to sit on your lap (Judah) and lives back rubs and hiding behind the curtain and running, and throwing a pillow down. He laughs already! But he doesn't want us to touch his skin much or hug him. He loves Joe and is learning to like me too.
Josiah is so tiny. Size 12mo Target shorts are falling off him. He has no behind, but he sure is cute! He has to be holding food if some kind to be happy. Ate a ton at dinner and drank three bottles after 1 when we got home today (between lunchtime and dinner) and ate puffs like they were going out of style. I brought those little plastic snack cups with the rubbery lid you can reach through and he is so happy. We will slowly work to improve his diet and get him eating well. But slowly. He is so sweet and KISSED me at dinner.
Judah went right to sleep in his crib tonight and at naptime, and is the happiest kid ever. He loves to sit on your lap,and likes back rubs and hiding behind the curtain and running, and throwing a pillow down. He laughs already! But he doesn't want us to touch his skin much or hug him. He loves Joe and is learning to like me too. Josiah steals his Puffs, and Zi Rui doesn't mind TOO much. He really Loves the photo book we sent him and looks at it over and over. He does NOT like toys except for his blue car that we sent to him in April. He is the epitome of a "happy heart" and he and Isaiah are going to get along so well, I think. He is a big boy and likes baths. He leaned the sign for "more" and called Joe "Baba" tonight (Daddy). He uses his little hands so well. We walked down the block to Starbucks since Mama didn't eat lunch and they both did great--Josiah in the Ergo and Judah in a stroller. We stayed in at the hotel for dinner and the boys ate noodles and fried rice, pork, watermelon and kiwi. They didn't like Kiwi. Judah can't drink from a straw, silly cup or bottle (he was used to drinking from a bowl) and so we are working in drinking from a cup. It is so cute, but very messy. Tomorrow is a long day of government appointments, but today went so very, very well, and I am confident that God is doing a good work in us already, and in the boys. Today felt like a BIG miracle!! As my friend Mandy says, we could have missed out on this, and I am beyond grateful that God worked so surprisingly to allow us BOTH boys. There WILL be long days and long nights and the hard part comes when we go home. But God is faithful. His love endures forever. He is doing a new thing "which you would not believe even if you had been told". No, I could not have imagined this!! Smiles from both boys on day one. Hallelujah! Christ our Joy and Strength.
